Golf on Royal Portrush - Dunluce Links (tbc), an outstanding course in a dramatic setting. It holds the distinction of being the only course in Ireland to have hosted the British Open. The Dunluce Course is as fine a links as you will find anywhere, with the 5th being a particularly memorable hole to a green hanging on the edge of a cliff. Consistently ranked in the top 20 of the world's best courses.

Overnight: Slieve Donard Resort & Spa: Classic Room - including Irish breakfast (2 Rooms, 4 passengers)

Tuesday, August 12

Golf today on Royal County Down (tbc), designed by Tom Morris in 1889 and situated in the shadows of the Mourne mountains. A spectacular location and an outstanding links golf course. It's charm lies in the old fashioned flavour of both the terrain and the layout. A mix of rugged dunes, coloured by a blend of purple heather and yellow flowering gorse combine to a dramatic effect on what is one of the toughest courses in the British Isles. Venue for the Walker Cup in 2007 and consistently ranked in the top 10 courses in the world.

Overnight: Slieve Donard Resort & Spa: Classic Room - including Irish breakfast (2 Rooms, 4 passengers)

Wednesday, August 13

Play at The Island Golf Club (tbc). Located to the north of Dublin City it continues a tradition of links golf since its foundation in 1890. The Island presents a formidable challenge to test the capabilities of all golfers. The magnificent splendour and solitude associated with the Island is highlighted by undulating fairways rolling through majestic sand dunes.

Overnight: The Westin Dublin: Classic Room - including Irish breakfast (2 Rooms, 4 passengers)

Thursday, August 14

Today play The European Club (tbc) at Brittas Bay. Almost 200 acres of rugged dunesland has been moulded to yield a course of exciting links golf through tumbling dunes with dramatic views of the Irish Sea from no fewer than sixteen of the holes. The course is a true examination of your game and will require both skill and imagination to make a score. Please note that caddies are not offered at the European Club. However, a very limited supply of golf carts are available for hire. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Specialist.

Overnight: The Westin Dublin: Classic Room - including Irish breakfast (2 Rooms, 4 passengers)

Friday, August 15

Today play at historic Portmarnock (tbc), consistently ranked as one of the top five courses in Ireland. Most of the trouble is visible and the fairways and greens are generally flatter than other links courses in Ireland. However, the course is well bunkered and is open to the winds coming off the Irish Sea and Dublin Bay. Please note a very limited supply of golf carts are available for hire. Certain restrictions may apply, please advise your Golf Travel Specialist.
